What is a life?

There was some discussion at the beach the other day when the kids caught some jellyfish to study and someone was very upset by it. Some said they were hungry, some said they were scared, some said they were just pests and should die. 

A good opportunity to talk about life and purpose of life. 

It never cease to amaze me how kids reflect upon religious and spiritual matters with such openness and love. It makes me humble to be trusted with this possibility to influence the next generation. And quite frankly, a bit scared to think of it too. No wonder the world may seem like it doesnt evolve in some areas. That said, I have such great faith in those growing up now with their grit and resilience.
